Challenge Chris Owens with virtually any construction project and he will know what to do. With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry and restoration, Chris has seen just about every imaginable scenario. He began his career in the underground utility trade and in just a few years, became a project superintendent for Moline Construction. There he managed a variety of projects ranging from building out a DSW shoe store to building an Episcopalian church. As a principle in McCormick Owens Development, Chris oversaw a number of significant projects, including multimillion-dollar custom homes and multiple subdivision projects such as San Tan Lakeside Estates, an 80-acre master-planned community in Gilbert, AZ. For National First Response, Chris oversees all the large loss projects and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business. Since joining National First Response in 2011, gross sales have increased from 1.5 million to 5 million in 2019. Chris’s focus has been directed towards helping NFR’s clients first and foremost and as a result, the business continues to grow. Chris lives in Chandler with his wife Stephanie and has 2 children. Chris enjoys racing and riding motorcycles, and spending time with Stephanie and their dog Zoe.

Coming from a successful 18-year career in the oil field industry, 13 of which he was the owner of a drilling company, James Pastorius was responsible for starting our roofing division. James has been an integral part of our ownership team and is largely responsible for the company’s development and accomplishments. Following this, he was a part of starting our newest division, NFR Solar, where he now proudly serves as Owner and Vice President for both branches. In starting the roofing division, and now with solar, James’ goal was to develop a successful company that serves the community and feeds families, and he has done just that. With an immense passion for helping others, he brings a personal touch to the business while providing quality service and support. James is an active member in multiple community service organizations and is always ready to help those who are in need. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his kids and taking them to play volleyball, go fishing or boating and any other water activities.

Tara Young is our Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing our company’s fiscal business. She has 9 years of experience in the construction industry, and we were delighted to have her join our team. With her responsibility of handling all company finances and overseeing the budget across all divisions of NFR, she meets with all the departments to determine the economic viability and tracks expenditures of all different projects. Additionally, she uses her indispensable vision and outstanding leadership of NFR to determine the optimal strategies for financial investment to ensure company growth, both short and long term. Tara's strong dedication to the company's financial health and her exceptional leadership skills make her an invaluable asset, driving NFR's success, growth, and productivity. She is also a great contributor to the public and enjoys helping others and creating a bonded community. In her personal time, Tara is a mom of two children and enjoys traveling with her husband and kids, along with watching her children’s sports activities.

Matt is a highly accomplished veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard with an impressive six-year career in biomedical service management. Currently, as the Chief Operating Officer, Matt excels in managing a sales team, driving customer relations, fostering company growth, and implementing effective marketing strategies. With his exceptional leadership skills, Matt motivates and guides his sales team, ensuring they meet and exceed their targets. He possesses a deep understanding of customer needs and builds strong relationships to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Moreover, Matt actively identifies opportunities for company growth and development, implementing innovative strategies to expand market reach and increase revenue. With a proven track record of success and a customer-centric approach, Matt consistently drives business growth and achieves outstanding results. His ability to manage diverse responsibilities, build strong relationships, and implement effective marketing strategies make him a respected asset to NFR. Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with family, playing volleyball, and participating in community service work.

As our Office Manager in the NFR Roofing Division, Brooke Thomas has 10 years of experience with supervision of sizable teams and performing administrative responsibilities. When she first began working with the Roofing Division, she immediately familiarized herself with the needs of the company and began contributing greatly to our success. During this time, Brooke has enjoyed learning the roofing industry and has continually strived for excellence. This has resulted in her thriving in our business, and we are tremendously gratified to have her on our staff. After getting acquainted with industry practices, we saw her value and proficiency, so she was quickly promoted to an office management role. Brooke takes pride in being able to support our homeowners in their moment of need and always ensures that projects and company operations run smoothly. Outside of work, she is a proud and loving mom to 5 young adults, with the youngest being a senior in high school. In Brooke’s spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family, especially with her two adorable grandsons.

Mike is an accomplished professional with a strong background in operations management. With his expertise and dedication, we are happy that he currently serves as our Operations Manager, overseeing various essential aspects of NFR’s daily operations. Mike excels in supervising project managers, ensuring his teams have successful communication and collaboration. He expertly allocates resources, sets clear goals, and monitors progress to drive projects to completion. With a keen eye for detail, he identifies obstacles and implements streamlined processes to optimize productivity and offer opportune project timelines. With his focus on delivering results, Mike consistently exceeds expectations in his role as an Operations Manager. He is an invaluable asset to our organization with his extensive operational understanding, leadership ability, and dedication to NFR. His skill set, combined with a passion for growth and a healthy work-life balance, ensure his continuous success in both professional and personal spheres. In his personal time, Mike enjoys going to the gym, traveling all over the globe, and spending time with his family.

Starting as a project manager, Kyle is a highly skilled professional who has made a significant impact on the organization's success. He has now assumed the role of Chief Billing Officer, bringing his exceptional negotiation skills and customer care to the table. With his experience as a project manager, Kyle brings a well-regarded and unique blend of leadership, industry expertise, and customer advocacy to the organization. This skill, and our company’s commitment to integrity have also helped him excel in building strong relationships with insurance companies. Kyle’s commitment to customer advocacy sets him apart as he tirelessly works to ensure that customers' rights are protected and that they receive the maximum benefits from their insurance coverage. Moreover, Kyle plays a crucial role in training new employees, sharing his in-depth knowledge of billing procedures and industry regulations. He is dedicated to fostering a team of professionals who are equipped to handle billing-related challenges and provide excellent customer service. When outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his son, helping others, and playing volleyball.
